Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi has revealed what will happen after the governorship election on March 11, 2023.
He shared his opinion with NOL24TV, an online television based in Asaba, Delta state capital. He said the APC and PDP have no business in participating in the 2023 governorship election in Delta state.
He said there will be more legal fireworks after the elections in 2023 should any of the two parties win the election.
A transcript of his interview with NOL24TV is reproduced below.
“With regards to issues that have been canvassed up to the supreme court, it is believed that the issues are dead since the supreme court has passed judgment on them.
“The issues as canvassed in the federal high court through to the supreme court are not the issues that are germaine to the situation on ground in Delta state.
“I mean technicalities have had their ways but the substance of what the situation represents on ground in Delta has not been addressed and for that singular reason, you will see a lot more litigations after the election.
“It’s just that the judgement has narrowed and helped those who will go to court, those who will go to tribunal, at the end of the election in 2023.
“For instance, I believe very strongly that the two political parties have no business being in the election at all.
“This is because they have violated the electoral act. That being what it is, expect to see very very dastardly legal situations that will come to play at the end of the elections.
“So we just wait and fold our hands and do what we need to do and ask God to help us while we do what we need to do legally”.
