The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Cross River State has set up a seven-man committee to screen governorship aspirants.
Publicity Secretary, Erasmus Ekpang made the announcement on Tuesday in Calabar.
Sen. Victor Ndoma-Egba would serve as the Chairman, while Sen. Florence Ita-Giwa would be the Secretary.
The spokesman said the process is in line with the commitment of the party to achieve an all inclusive, transparent, fair and democratic process.
Ekpang noted that it was in accordance with the resolution of the aspirants at the April 26 meeting.
“The initiative is aimed at driving a transparent process, which will guarantee victory for the party,” he said.
The screening committee is expected to submit its report on May 6.
The committee members include ex-Minister of Culture and Tourism, Edem Duke; Eddy Achi, Bolaji Anani, Odey Ochicha and Ebuta Ayuk.
