After much scheming and politicking, the opposition People’s Democratic Party will screen its vice presidential candidate, Nyesom Wike, on Thursday.
Three aspirants were voted by a 19-member committee where Governor scored 19 votes, Governor Okowa of Delta scored three votes, a development which made Wike to emerge as vice presidential candidate of the PDP.
A statement made available on Tuesday night and signed by the party’s national publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said the nominated candidate, Governor Nyesom Wike, will be screened on Thursday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
The statement read thus:
PDP Constitutes Vice Presidential Candidate Screening Committee (VPSC)
Pursuant to Part VI, Paragraph 14 of the the Electoral Guidelines of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the National Working Committee (NWC) has approved the nomination of the following Party members to serve on the Vice Presidential Candidate Screening Committee for the screening/verifying of the nominated Vice Presidential Candidate of our Party for the 2023 general elections.
The members of the Committee are as follows

The screening exercise will hold at the National Working Committee (NWC) Hall, PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 10am.
