As the country inches closer to the 2023 general elections, Prince Ned Nwoko, the Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate, has stated that, PDP will win the South-East seamlessly, declaring Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, the next president of Nigeria.

The grassroot politician made the declaration during an interview session with journalists, at Mount Ned, in Idumuje Ugboko, Delta state.

Nwoko said that, Atiku will not only win the North comfortably, but will also win the South-East seamlessly. He stressed that, Peter Obi, will probably get 10 percent of the votes in South-East. Reasons being that, the Eastern Security Network (ESN ) and Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) bodies, do not want him campaigning in the region, because they want Biafra.

Also, he confidently stated that, the older people in South-East, will support PDP.

In Nwoko’s words, “Atiku will win the North comfortably. South-East would be won by PDP. Peter Obi will probably get 10 percent of the votes in South-East. ESN and IPOB, do not want him campaigning in South-East. They want Biafra instead. So, they and Peter Obi, are at loggerheads. Majority of the older people in South-East will support PDP. ”

The leading Delta North senatorial candidate, also maintained that, South-South is completely PDP.

“During our ward-to-ward campaign, I was convinced that PDP is very much in control in Delta state. It will be a miracle for any other party to win one House of Assembly seat out of the 25 local government areas in Delta state,” he said.

Nwoko also took a swipe at Governor Nyesom Wike, the Rivers state governor, over the ongoing political impasse rocking the party. He said that Wike should be shown the way out of PDP, noting that he has caused a lot of damages in the party, and allowing him stay back will cause more damages.

“Atiku will win the next election, with or without Wike”, Nwoko stated.
