In a joint briefing with the Nigeria Police Force held at the INEC Collation Centre, to ascertain the preparedness for the 2023 polls in Abuja yesterday Friday 24th February, Honourable Chairman, Professor Mammoud Yakubu said:
- Voting begins at 8.30am and ends at
2.30pm. He stressed that all voters in the queue before the 2pm deadline can vote. - The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba pledges adequate security across the nation before, during, and after the general elections.
- The Nigeria electoral body, INEC, has suspended the election in Enugu East Senatorial District, made up of 6 Local Government Areas and 1630 Polling Units, following the death of the Labour Party’s Candidate. The Election will now hold on 11th March 2023.
