It was home coming to Sapele residents as the town wore a joyful look by standing still for Olorogun (Barr.) Kenneth Omemevwa Gbagi as he consulted the Strongman of Sapele Politics, Chief (Barr.) Charles Ufuoma Obule and Hon. Otimeyin Adams over his preparedness to govern Delta State by 2023.
Speaking separately, the foremost governorship aspirant in Delta State, Olorogun Gbagi said that with the caliber of persons he met in Chief Obule place, he said that he knows that Sapele is a safe hands. Gbagi who said that apart from he is the Ochuko of Okpe Kingdom, he is a proper Sapele boy.
The former Minister of State Education revealed that as part of his major policy, he would bring back AT & P back to Sapele, adding that his policy is to bring business to LGA by LGA for the state to develop evenly. He said that he will move from LGA to LGA to identify their strength to turn the state around.
His words, ” I am happy with the caliber of persons we met here and with this, l know Sapele is a safe hands. Let me assure you that one of my major policy is to bring back AT & P to Sapele. My policy is to bring business to LGA by LGA for the state to develop. I will move from LGA to LGA to identify their strength to turn Delta State around”.
Responding, Chief (Barr.) Charles Ufuoma Obule said he thank Gbagi for his consultations across the state, saying that Gbagi always take the day everywhere he goes. He said he thank God that Okowa is a truthful man. The Strongman of Sapele politics noted that Gbagi being a member of caucus, nobody can change the fact that he has not paid his dues.
While Hon. Otimeyin Adams said he knows the capacity of Olorogun Gbagi, noting that, as human beings, they will always play their party but God has the final say. Odjor 1 of Ewere kingdom admitted that Gbagi is not a hungry man who go into government to enrich himself. According to him, he said that Gbagi has all it takes to govern the state. The former Council Chairman of the then Warri LGA therefore advised Urhobo people to close rank for the governorship race.
