2023: Traditional rulers in Aniocha North throw weight behind Peter Obi, Delta Labour Party candidates, say we’ve suffered enough

Traditional rulers in Aniocha North weekend filed out in support of presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi and other candidates who are gunning for other elective offices in Delta state.

The endorsement was an offshoot of the collosal failure of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) which ruled the nation from 1999 to 2015. It was an overwhelming support for the party by the traditional rulers.

Among the traditional rulers who gave the overwhelming endorsement were the Obi of Onicha Olona, HRM Obi Uzu Diji; Obi of Onicha Ugbo, HRM Obi Chukwumaleze 1; the Obi of Ezi, Obi of Idumuje Unor among others.

Among candidates who visited the traditional rulers were Labour Party governorship candidate, Dcn Ken Pela; Delta North Senatorial candidate, Barrister Kennedy Kanma, Reps candidate for Aniocha/Oshimili, Ngozi Okolie; Pastor Martin Wealth for Aniocha North state constituency and Commander Acha Jonathan, House of Assembly candidate for Ika south.

It was one of the biggest endorsement as the traditional rulers never pretended to show their love for the third force which is sweeping across the length and breadth of the nation and Delta state.

According to the monarchs, Nigerians have suffered enough and it’s time to take a decisive action for the survival and future of this great nation. They believe the presidential candidate of the Labour Party under whose auspices other candidates rest, will galvanized the nation out of the present condition.

They noted that if the Labour Party which has become the love of all Nigerians fail to clinch the presidency and other offices, Nigerians will be in the woods from 2023.

They are of the belief that no party has a better chance with the present situation in Nigeria than the Labour Party, hence they advised the candidates to go into the nooks and crannies of the state to sensitize the people and gain their support ahead of the election.

The Labour Party entourage also visited the palace of the Obi of Issele Uku, where Victor Egbune, former Aniocha North PDP chairman spoke on behalf of the traditional ruler.

The Obi, speaking through Egbune, wished the Labour Party candidates well in their pursuit to takeover power from the ruling parties in both national and at the state level.

All the Obis prayed for the candidates, asking God to grant them victory as they are deemed to be the best set of candidates for the 2023 general elections.
