A Triumph for inclusive governance: Senator Ned Nwoko honored with grand reception in hometown

Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, the representative of Delta North senatorial district, was honored with a grand homecoming inauguration reception at Mount Ned, Idumuje-Ugboko, Delta state. The event took place on Sunday, June 18, and was a heartfelt gesture of gratitude and appreciation towards his constituents.

The reception, held at his country home, was attended by a large number of supporters and local political figures, including the state governor, His Excellency, Rt.Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori. Governor Oborevwori commended Senator Nwoko’s inclusive leadership and praised his humble demeanor and remarkable ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life, regardless of their social status. The governor expressed his delight at being present and saw the decision to host the inauguration reception in the hometown as a testament to Senator Nwoko’s dedication to inclusive governance that prioritizes the needs of the local community.

The atmosphere at Senator Nwoko’s home was filled with joy and excitement as constituents gathered to commemorate this momentous occasion. Celebrating locally was seen as a gesture of appreciation towards the people who had entrusted him with their votes.

The presence of the governor and other political representatives underscored the significance of Senator Nwoko’s electoral success and his contributions to their campaigns.

Bills sponsored, motions moved and projects executed by Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko from June 2023 to May 2025

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, the Dein of Agbor, King Keagborekuzi Benjamin Ikechukwu, the Chief of Staff to the governor, Hon. Johnson Erijo, the Speaker of the Delta House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, the Deputy Speaker, Rt.Hon Barrister Arthur Akpowowo, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) state chairman, Barrister Kingsley Esiso, and various other esteemed guests.

The homecoming inauguration reception became a symbol of unity, bringing together people from all walks of life to honor Senator Nwoko. It showcased the strong bond within the senatorial district and exemplified the shared vision for progress and development.

The event not only brought joy but also demonstrated the collective strength and unity of Senator Nwoko’s constituency. The overwhelming support from the people and their political representatives solidified his position as a respected and cherished leader in the Delta North senatorial district.
