PRESS STATEMENT RELEASED TODAY SUNDAY 4TH APRIL, 2021 BY CDHR ACTING NATIONAL PRESIDENT COMR DR PRINCE KEHINDE TAIGA.
Fellow Nigerians,
Today as we rejoice with our Christian brethren on the occasion of this year easter celebration, I want to charge every Nigerian to emulate the life of Jesus Christ who we remember His death and resurrection this easter season.
It is a time that we all need to live sacrificially to the betterment of our neighbours and the country at large, where self aggrandizement which has been the major killer of our nation today should be a thing that shouldn’t be found with any Christian and other religion alike.
Sacrificial living and giving is the major traits that characterized the life of Jesus Christ that we celebrate today, which we must all do everything possible to emulate.
I want to use this medium to call on the political elites, especially the political office holders to, as a matter of urgency with the mind of saving the country from eminent economic collapse, emulate the life and mind of Christ by working sacrificially for the growth and development of Nigeria.
I will like to use this medium to once again send my condolence to the family of our very own late Comrade Kolawole Afolabi that was committed to mother earth this past week.
It is my prayer that the Lord Almighty will continue to fill the vacuum our committed, compassionate and selfless Comrade Afolabi left behind and may God grant unto the family, the Human Rights community and the entire CDHR family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
I want to assure the entire members of CDHR Nigeria that members of NEC under my leadership will continue to work hard to making sure that the organization continue to get the due respect it deserved within and outside the nation.
