Comrade Kehinde Taiga, an activist in Delta state, is demanding for the removal of the state commissioner of police, Hafiz Inuwa from the state. Taiga had initially called for the transfer of all state commissioners of police to the force headquarters in an earlier publication.
In this, he is specifically giving one month to the inspector general of police, Mohammed Adamu, to remove Inuwa from Delta state and replace him with a more competent and focused police commissioner in the state. His grouse is that under his watch, his men are getting into extortion and he is not doing anything about it.
He said if the inspector general fails to heed his call to remove him within the stipulated time beginning from November 1 to the last day of the month, a heavier protest than that of the #EndSARS which shook the nation to its foundation will be held in Delta state.
He told Emerald News that the protest would defy all curfew restrictions in the state so as to achieve its objective. Taiga is calling for total sanity among police officers in Delta state.
He called on the police commissioner to give account of all the security votes from the state government to the command since he assumed office over a year ago.
