After taking to his Instagram handle to celebrate son, Idowu, who bagged his first degree in International Relations from ESGT University, Benin Republic, Musiliu Akinsanya, best known as MC Oluomo, the chairman of Lagos state Parks and Garages Management, has received backlashes from Nigerians, precisely the youths who have been affected by the continous ASUU strike.
MC Oluomo, congratulating his son, wrote, “Dear son, Idowu Akinsanya #king_westt. Congratulations on your graduation, as you bagged your first degree in International Relations, faculty of social sciences at ESGT University Dream Campus, Benin Republic.
“I am extremely proud of you; the fruit of your years of toiling is plain for all to see. Your life is a huge inspiration to everyone around you, including us, your parents. So much have been committed into your education but none of them is as important as seeing you excited to walk up the podium of success.”
Reacting to the congratulatory post, aggrieved Nigerians said that it is repulsive of MC Oluomo to send his children abroad to study, where good educational facilities abound, and then promote a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the incumbent party, who’s administration has dwindled the educational standard in Nigeria.
Some of the comments read:
“Tomorrow, MC Oluomo will campaign for APC that deprived the youths right to education in Nigeria, only to train his son abroad. ”
“Some Agberos following him up and down can’t even afford to send their children to public schools in Nigeria.”
“Why did the son not go to UNILAG or Laspotech?”
“He is giving his kids good education, while his lieutenants are smoking their lives away under the scorching sun on the streets of Lagos.”
