The Lagos Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on the people to contribute to the work of God in all manners.
According to the PUNCH, the governor declared that it was always rewarding to give to the work of God.
Sanwo-Olu gave the charge at the unveiling of the church’s new logo of the Cathedral Church of St. Andrew, Owo, Ondo State, as part of the 40th anniversary of the church.
The Lagos State Chief Executive who was a chief launcher at the programme donated a sum N50milion to the church.
He said, “I am happy to be here. This is a rare invitation that must find the means to honour despite my tight schedule. If you’re called and you refuse, God has a way of doing His things.
“It is God who put people in position, so when you have the opportunity always honour him. I want to admonish all of us present here to honour God with what we have. Let’s give to God’s work.”
In his remarks, the Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, commended Sanwo-Olu over his performance in office. He said the Lagos governor deserved another term, calling on the Lagos electorate to re-elect him for a second term.
