The popular afrobeat superstar, David Adeleke, best known with his stage name, Davido, who is currently mourning his 3years old son, Ifeanyi’s tragic death, has been named among the Africans and Americans to be honoured at the Afro Award in Los Angeles, California, alongside his uncle, Senator Ademola Jackson Adeleke, Governor elect, Osun state.
As reported by Gistlover, founder and the executive producer of the Afro Awards, Mr Taiwo Oduala, confirmed the development.
Also, to be honoured alongside the afrobeat superstar are, the first lady of Sierra Leone, Mrs Fatima Maada, Ayuko Babu, CEO Pan African Film Festival, and Seyi Kehinde, a renowned Nigerian journalist.
The event will be broadcasted live on Sunday, 6 November, at Regal La Live 1000 W Olympic, Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90015, USA.
Oduala said the Awardees are Africans and Americans who have distinguished themselves in various field of endeavours.
“The main focus of the award is to support people who have demonstrated exceptional humanitarian excellence in various fields,” he added.
