Members of the Anambra State House of Assembly have extended their united support to Gov. Willie Obiano in promoting the governorship candidature of a former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.
They resolved to rally round the governor during the celebration of the 61st birthday of Prof Soludo, at the country home of Governor Obiano in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area.
Declaring their support, the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr Uche Okafor, said that the governor recorded many projects that would redefine the future of the state.
Mr. Okafor noted that the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport would not only be a boost to the stability of the state’s economy, but also attract global recognition for the state.
The Speaker said he was optimistic that Prof. Soludo would be the authentic candidate of APGA at the end of the current political challenge.
He promised that the members of the state assembly would always work harmoniously with the governor to project the state into limelight.
Member representing Anambra East at the Assembly, Mr Obinna Emenaka said the celebration also would mark the lofty legacies of the Governor.
Mr Emenaka said the House would not relent in supporting the governor, especially his dream project of delivering, Prof Soludo as the next Governor.
