APC youths celebrate Sylva’s birthday in Bayelsa with medical outreach, novelty match

Hundreds of Youths of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State on Friday celebrated the 59th Birthday of the Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva with a medical outreach and novelty football match.

While the Medical outreach was conducted at the State Cultural centre on Thursday, the novelty football match was organized on Friday by the Youth wing of the APC led by the State Youth Leader, Chief Preye Agama.

The Novelty Football match, which started at early as 8am, was witnesses by the Wife of the Former Minister,Alanyingi Sylva, the Former Deputy Governor, Peremobowei Ebebi, the Former Director-General of NAPTIP, Same Julie Donli, two members of the State House of Assembly elected on the platform of the APC and APC State Women leader, Hon. Ebiere Juliana Akpobasa.

They all described Chief Timipre Sylva as their leader and declare the readiness to vote him to office as Governor come November 11th,2023.

The Wife of the Former Minister,Alayingi Sylva, who spoke after presentation of medals and cutting of the cake, said Bayelsans are celebrating him because of the passion and love for the development of the state.

According to her, “They can’t forget all he has done while as governor. The people here are gathered because of the future of the next generation of Bayelsans that ought to protected. They have taken it to the point that he doesn’t have to be somewhere before they celebrate him”.

Also speaking, the Former Deputy Governor of the State, Rt.Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi, said the youths of the party and the state are celebrating a man whose developmental strides are still visible and endearing, a lot of activities to mark his birthday started Yesterday, and today the elderly and young are engaged in a football match.

“As a former governor and my boss, he did well and now he is more mature and more experienced to contest the highest seat of power in the state. I am convinced and have a strong believe that he will achieve greater than what he recorded when elected as governor, in the areas of health and infrastructural developments.”

In the her words, the APC State Women leader, Hon. Ebiere Juliana Akpobasa, described Chief Timipre Sylva as a father and leader, ” we are celebrating him today.So, it is massive for us. We are happy to be here and the excitement that he is 59 day made me bring all the women out to celebrate. And we thank God for his life. This shows how people love and always support and Stand by him. This is just like kick starting the coming election to victory.”

“The message has started from here, we are selling our candidate and telling the people the truth and good feature of our leader. He has been there before and now he has more knowledge on governance. We have the best and tight candidate to change the fortune of Bayelsa state.”

A former DG, NANTIP, Dame Julie Donli, OON, described Chief Timipre Sylva as her Boss and said ” I have been working with him for a long time, and one thing I have learnt is that a lot of people like associating with him, we pray and wish him excellent health and prosperity in life.God have been so good to him health wise, because I can’t recall anytime that he has been sick.”

A member representing Brass Constituency 2, Hon. Timi Omubo Agala, desvribed Sylva as a rare gem and a man whose benevolence a lot of Bayelsa enjoy,” Today am in the house of Assembly because of his leadership qualities. He has a great future, and what has he not achieved, at a tender age he was in the House of Assembly, he made a lot of strides from one level to the other.”

“He was also the youngest at the time he was governor of the state. He always has a lifting even at a point when it was as if he went down politically that was even his greatest moment.bHe brought APC to the state and today look at the force of the opposition in the state today, it’s because of him.”

“A lot of us are a product of his political dynasty. Am enjoying my 2nd tenure now courtesy him, Bayelsans are happy for him and that is why the crowd is gathered here. The election is fast approaching and we believe Bayelsans are ready to bring him back. I wish him all the good things in life, more money to fund his campaign as we move to the election proper.”

On his part, the State Youth leader of the Party, Chief Preye Agama,said ” If you are talking of leader, Chief Timipre Sylva has everything that a true leader has, and the good thing about today is that it heralds the beginning of his victory, he will be voted in as governor in few Months time. For sure you will know that God his own his side, because he is favoured on every side. His love for Bayelsans has kept on pushing him higher and higher.”
