A primary three pupil of a private primary school in Asaba, Delta state (name withheld) has been expelled for writing a love letter to his classmate.

According to reports made to available to Emerald News, the boy had tried unsuccessfully to woo the girl to make her his girlfriend but all attempts failed.

It was gathered that members of the class were aware of the amorous moves of the boy towards the girl but his moves had failed to yield expected results.

As a last resort, he wrote the letter which he intended delivering to the girl but it was yet to be delivered before the class teacher discovered it in his bag.

Following the discovery, the boy and the girl were summoned, some members of the class were also summoned by the school authority where they gave their respective reactions.

Following the development, according to our source, the school located in the westend area of Asaba had no option than to expel the child.

This is the height of moral depravity in society.
