Chairman of the Delta state taskforce on environment, Comrade Godspower Omafume Asiuwhu, has dissolved all environmental marshals operating in the state.
In a statement signed and made available to journalists by the media department of the taskforce, Asiuwhu said the dissolution would take effect on December 27, 2023.
He said the dissolution was due to the need for professionalism and restructuring of the marshals in line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE agenda and to deal with current challenges in the taskforce.
He called on the dissolved marshals, coordinators and supervisors to handover all properties in their possession to the director of administration while wishing them well in their future endeavours.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL MARSHALS IN THE STATE
This is to inform the general public that the Environmental Marshals in Delta state has been disolved with immediate effect.
In a press release made available to journalists by the office of the Chairman of Delta State TaskForce on Environment Chief Comr. Asiuwhu Omafuvwe Godspower JP, the director of administration Mrs Nkechi said the dissolution was approved today, 27th of December 2023.
The statement said the dissolution is due to the need for professionalism, reorganization, and restructuring of the marshals in line with the MORE agenda of His Excellency Rt Hon ( Elder )Sheriff Oborevwori Governor of Delta State.
Besides restructuring in line with the governor’s MORE agenda, the dissolution was also to deal with the current environmental challenges facing the state.
The Chairman thanked all the dissolved marshals as he wished them well in their future endeavours. He also advised all former environmental marshals, coordinators, and supervisors to hand over all properties in their possession belonging to the Delta State TaskForce on Environment to the Director of Administration on or before 29th December, 2023.
