The Emir of Moriki in Zamfara state, Alhaji Samaila Ari is dead.
The death of the emir was announced by a member of his family, Alhaji Hassan Salihu Moriki.
Aged 73, the late second class Emir died at a health facility in Kaduna last Monday after a prolonged illness.
He left behind one wife and five children (two males and three females).
His funeral prayer would be performed today Tuesday by three o’clock pm at the Emir’s Palace in Moriki town, Zurmi local government area of the state.
There was no official statement by the state government on the demise of the late Emir at the time of filing this report.
