Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has been sacked.
An Abuja Federal High Court declared Dogara’s seat in the Green Chamber vacant.
Justice D.U. Okorowo, on Friday declared Dogara’s seat vacant following his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The judge said Dogara’s defection was wrong and meant he should vacate the legislative seat.
Dogara represents Bogoro/Dass Federal constituency of Bauchi State in the House of Representatives.
He was the Speaker of the House of Representatives between 2015 and 2019.
The former Speaker defected to the APC after winning his re-election under the PDP in 2019.
