The Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has suspended two commissioners and two other aides.
The Governor’s Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday.
Although no reason was given for their suspension, Bere said their suspension takes immediate effect.
The statement read, “The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has approved the immediate suspension of four key officials.
“The affected officials include Chrysanthus Dawam, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, and Jamila Tukur, Commissioner for Tourism, Culture and Hospitality.
“Also affected is Dio Lamul, Special Adviser on Rural Development, and Moses Sule, Liaison Officer for Mikang Constituency.”
“The suspensions take effect immediately,” the statement concluded.
In April 2024, Mutfwang unveiled an e-governance platform which is aimed at fostering transparent, efficient and accountable governance in the state.
This was as the governor encouraged the public to utilise the platform to engage the government and to offer information, opinions on policies, and inquiries on service offerings from Ministries, Departments and Agencies while receiving timely feedback.
