The candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has been declared the winner of the 2021 Anambra governorship election.
It would recall that after the November 6 election, INEC declared the exercise inconclusive since the election was not conducted in Ihiala Local Government area of the state.
However, the commission fixed Tuesday, November 9 for a supplementary election in Ihiala and it turned out to be successful.
Soludo was later announced the winner of Anambra Election in the early hours of Wednesday at INEC headquarters, Awka by Prof. Florence Obi, INEC’s Chief Returning Officer for the election.
According to reports, the Soludo polled a total of112,229 votes, thereby defeating his closest rival, Mr Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 53, 807 and emerged second.
On the other hand, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Andy Uba got a total of 43,285 votes to emerge the third position.
