The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday released names of nominated candidates for the September 19, 2020 governorship elections in Edo state.
The list INEC released contains 14 names of all candidates who were cleared by their respective parties for the Edo governorship elections. The list also contains 14 political parties and 14 candidates with their deputies.
The list contains 13 males and one female. It was learnt that 15 parties indicated interest but at the final submission, only 14 submitted names of their candidates. It was also gathered that the final list will be republished on August 15 after some may have withdrawn from the race.
