The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has relieved the Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS), Mr. Michael Ango, of his duties.
The announcement was made on Friday through a statement issued by Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister.
According to the statement, the most senior official within the FCT-IRS has been directed to immediately assume leadership of the agency to ensure continued administrative and operational stability.
The minister did not disclose the reason for the removal, but the directive marks another significant change in the administration’s ongoing reorganization of key institutions within the FCT.
The transition takes effect immediately.
