Senator Ede Dafinone has congratulated Chief Solomon Val Arenyeka on his emergence as Delta State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the successful conduct of the party’s State Congress.
‎
‎In a statement issued on Tuesday, Dafinone also extended his felicitations to members of the newly constituted State Working Committee, describing the congress as orderly, peaceful, and transparent.
‎
‎According to the senator, the process that produced the new leadership reflects the APC’s democratic credentials and signals increasing cohesion within the party in Delta State.
‎
‎“The orderly, peaceful and transparent process that produced this leadership is a strong affirmation of our party’s democratic credentials and the growing cohesion within our ranks in Delta State,” Dafinone said.
‎
‎He noted that Arenyeka’s emergence represents a vote of confidence from party faithful and carries with it a solemn mandate to provide purposeful, courageous, and unifying leadership at a critical juncture in the state’s political landscape.
‎
‎Dafinone emphasized that expectations among party members are high, urging the new leadership to consolidate internal democracy and strengthen party structures across Delta State’s 25 local government areas.
‎
‎He also called for the entrenchment of discipline, accountability, and collective responsibility to inspire broader public confidence.
‎
‎As the state prepares for upcoming political engagements, the senator underscored the importance of unity within party ranks.
‎
‎He advised the new chairman and the State Working Committee to promote reconciliation where necessary, harmonize diverse interests, and build a formidable grassroots-driven platform capable of positioning the APC as a credible and dominant alternative in the state.
‎
‎“The task before us demands strategic mobilisation, effective communication, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of progressive governance,” he stated.
‎
‎Reaffirming his commitment to collaboration, Dafinone said he looks forward to working closely with the new leadership to advance the vision of the APC and deliver sustainable development and inclusive prosperity to the people of Delta State.
