The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) will formally flag off President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign tomorrow, Saturday, 24th October 2026, in Kaduna State. The event is scheduled for about 10:00 a.m at Kaduna township stadium.

This marks the official start of nationwide mobilisation after the PCC was inaugurated on 14 October 2026 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Director-General Senator Abdulaziz Yari confirmed the timetable earlier after briefing the President: the campaign begins in Kaduna, then moves to Port Harcourt (Rivers) and Maiduguri (Borno), before covering all 36 states and the FCT. Party leaders have called for a massive but peaceful turnout of members, support groups, youth, and stakeholders. Security and logistics arrangements have been inspected and are reported ready.

At the inauguration, President Tinubu charged the PCC to take the administration’s record, reforms, and Renewed Hope Agenda directly to Nigerians at every levelstates, local governments, wards, and communities—while ensuring the campaign does not distract from governance. The campaign message centres on key achievements such as fuel subsidy removal, foreign-exchange unification, tax reforms, local government autonomy, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), and consumer credit initiatives.
Grassroots Engagement and Mobilisation Directorate’s Role
Central to this effort is the Grassroots Engagement and Mobilisation Directorate. It is headed by Hon. Hafiz Ibrahim Kawu (Director) with Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola as Deputy Director.
The directorate’s mandate is to deepen the party’s connection with voters at the ward, local government, and community levels. It coordinates outreach programmes, grassroots campaigns, and stakeholder engagement aimed at expanding support nationwide, particularly among youths, women, and first-time voters.
DR. MICHAEL NWOKO TO LEAD SOUTH-SOUTH GRASSROOTS ENGAGEMENT CHARGE
A key pillar of the directorate’s zonal structure is Dr. Michael Nwoko, FRSPH, who has been appointed as South-South Zonal Coordinator for Grassroots Engagement and Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
Dr. Nwoko, who will be present at tomorrow’s flag-off in Kaduna, will coordinate and lead the grassroots mobilisation across Delta, Edo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River and Akwa Ibom States.
His appointment is strategic. Dr. Nwoko also serves as the South-South Coordinator for Contact and Mobilisation of the City Boy Movement and National Convener of Youth Structure for Asiwaju (YS4A) two of the most vibrant youth structures driving President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
His task after tomorrow’s flag-off is clear. Take President Tinubu’s achievements directly to the polling units.
According to Dr. Nwoko, the directorate will not just campaign, but educate. His team will break down the administration’s achievements – the tripled FAAC allocations to states, the NELFUND student loan that has kept thousands of South-South students in school, the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway that will transform the economy of the coastal states, local government autonomy, and the Renewed Hope infrastructure drive in local dialects and in a language the market woman, the fisherman, and the farmer in the creeks can understand.
Working alongside related units and under the leadership of Hon. Hafiz Ibrahim Kawu, Dr. Nwoko and his South-South team are tasked with taking President Tinubu’s achievements and the Renewed Hope message directly to the people moving beyond rallies and meetings to sustained, organised engagement in communities across the South-South.
Tomorrow’s flag-off in Kaduna therefore launches both the national campaign and a structured grassroots push designed to communicate the administration’s record from the centre down to the polling-unit level, with the South-South fully mobilized for victory.
