Prince Ned Nwoko, former member of the House of Representatives has obtained PDP nomination form to represent Delta North in the National Assembly.
Emerald News gathered from a whatsapp group where the nomination form was posted with his name attached.
For further confirmation, Emerald News contacted him on whatsApp and his reply was in the affirmative.
His reply was “yes’ indicating that he has joined the race to the senate to take over from the incumbent Senator Peter Nwaoboshi who has defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress APC.
Ned Nwoko, one of the illustrious sons of Idumuje Ugboko, a community in Aniocha North local government area had earlier contested for the Senate but certain factors could not allow him clinch the coveted seat.
In 2019, he contested the primaries with incumbent Senator Peter Nwaoboshi but for legal technicalities he lost the race.
But with the 2023 general elections, the coast seems perfectly clear for him to win the senate without obstacles as the incumbent has moved to the APC.
Ned Nwoko is one of the biggest philantropists in Delta state. He has touched several lives through different programmes for youths and students in Delta North.
For about three years running, he has been sponsoring research on malaria eradication in Nigeria. His team of professors who are in the research must have reached advanced stage in the quest to wipe out malaria from Nigeria.
Ned Nwoko was also instrumental in the paris club refund which Nigeria government from local government to the federal have enjoyed for the past few years.
Ned Nwoko has much in his sleeves for the people of Delta North, Delta state and the generality of Nigerians. He is one of the best brains in Nigeria who has great mind for the good of the nation.
His presence in the senate will be a great boost for the people of Delta North.
