Security operatives on Wednesday prevented Maxwell Opara, one of the lawyers of detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, from entering the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Also barred from the courtroom include journalists, Igbo traditional leaders, as well as observers and activists.
But other lawyers of Kanu including Ifeanyi Ejiofor and Aloy Ejimakor were allowed inside the courtroom.
It is not yet clear if Kanu has been brought to the court yet.
Meanwhile, Prince Kanu Meme one of the younger brother of Nnamdi Kanu, has arrived the Federal High Court, Abuja for his sibling’s trial.
