Senate Minority Leader and governorship aspirant in Abia State, Enyinnaya Abaribe, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
Abaribe had on Tuesday withdrawn from the PDP governorship race, alleging lack of transparency and non-conduct of three-man delegate congress.
The leadership of APGA, had last Sunday, visited Abaribe, and urged him and other ‘progressives’ to cross over. Now Abaribe has answered their call.
In an interview with the press on Friday, Abaribe said he had made up his mind to join APGA, adding that he will be participating in the party’s senatorial primaries on Saturday. It is understood that he has now fully registered with APGA.
