Check your state as NCDC announces 176 confirmed cases for May 16, total figure rises to 5621

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 338 as confirmed cases of coronavirus for Sunday May 17, 2020. The figures were announced at 11.30pm on the verified twitter handle of the agency.

In the announcement, Lagos has the highest number of confirmed cases with 177 followed by Kano with 64 As second highest according to tally presented by NCDC.

Most of the states are from the North with few from the South. The total figure now is 5959 with  182 deaths and 1594 recovered from the coronavirus pandemic.

Nigeria has been recording increase in the confirmed cases since the first incase on February 27, 2020.

    Y are our leaders acting like primary school pupils. Here in River state the Governor is making fool of us. Now we no that these corona virus is a fraud here in River state. How do they know people that are infected or those that been killed by the disease. No River state has not in any way run a test for its citizens but yet they know that there is a pandemic in the States. Now the Governor media aid is dead it won’t b recorded as a death caused by the virus. But when a poor man dies of hunger they claim he died of civil 19. Hunger is killing us here than the sickness. We closed every place still the case still increase. How are we sure all these is true…
