The police in Delta have apprehended one Mr Ayuba Adavo, for allegedly raping a lady at gun point.
In a statement ,DSP Bright Edafe, the police public relations officer said the arrest was made on the 8th, November 2021,after the victim whose name was withheld,made the report at the Sapele division.
He said the victim, 25, stated that she was along Amagiya road Sapele when the suspect age 34, obstructed her way and dragged her into his room.
She further said that,Ayuba threatened to shoot her and eventually had his way with her at gunpoint after which he dozed off.
On noticing this,the victim ran to lay the complaint at the police station,after which the detectives hurried to the scene and nabbed the suspect with one locally cut to size gun, one live cartridge was recovered from him and was taken into custody.
