The College of Executive Assistants to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has resolved to collaborate in advancing the MORE Agenda development policy of the governor.
This decision was made during a meeting held at the Unity Hall of the Delta Government House, where over 50 executive assistants out of the more than 140 members gathered.
Under the leadership of Hon. Taju Isichei, the College tasked each member to act as an ambassador for the governor within their respective local government areas.
During the meeting, the governor’s appointees affirmed that the success of the governor’s projects, policies, and programs will be their foremost priority moving forward.
They further pledged to take a leading role in promoting the goodwill of the Oborevwori administration while proactively engaging to discourage malicious tendencies from opposition elements.
A communique signed at the end of the meeting highlighted the College’s unanimous commitment to the cause.
The appointees also extended their congratulations to Governor Oborevwori for receiving the prestigious and Influential THISDAY/ARISE TV Governor of the Year award.
They applauded his remarkable leadership and tireless efforts, which have seen the delivery of impactful projects across all three senatorial districts in Delta State.
Key areas of praise included the governor’s successful payment of pension arrears to Delta civil servants at both the state and local government levels, the timely payment of workers’ salaries and entitlements, and notable strides in human capital development that have empowered thousands of Deltans.
The meeting, chaired by Hon. Taju Isichei, also saw contributions from Chief Duncan Ehwere (Secretary), Pastor Powell Tos (Public Relations Officer), Hon. Nkechi Enumah-Chukura (Welfare Officer), and Norbert Chiazor (Media Officer).
In his remarks, Hon. Isichei emphasized that if all executive assistants carry out their specific roles effectively, winning elections in their local units and wards will be within reach.
He commended Governor Oborevwori for his dedication to the state’s growth, particularly highlighting how the governor has managed to pay off debts without resorting to borrowing.
The collective resolve of the College of Executive Assistants signifies a unified effort to ensure the continued success and development of Delta State under Governor Oborevwori’s leadership.
The college of EAs in recognition of the milestones recorded by the governor in the past two years, through development of social infrastructure and human empowerment across the three senatorial districts, passed a vote of confidence in the governor and pledged overwhelming support towards his reelection come 2027.
