Finally, this is what Tinubu should do with Nnamdi Kanu for peace in South east

By-Oke Orhonigbe

Following the arrest of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, a lot of concerned Nigerians has trooped to several media outlets online to pour out their feelings with regards to his detention.

Reno Omokri popularly known as Buhari Tormentor, has taken to his Instagram handle to say “Biafra is an idea you cannot defeat and idea militarily. Even if you arrest and kill the idealist, as long as the circumstances that gave rise to the idea remains, the idea will still thrive.

“Nnamdi Kanu is not the problem, he is a symptom of the problem. The nepotism of President Buhari and those who think like him is the problem. You will arrest one Nnamdi Kanu and 10 may rise in his place.

“Deal with the problem. Give Nigeria justice. Treat all Nigerians equally irrespective of whether they gave you 5% or 97% of their votes.”

Certified legal fellow, Nollywood, director, writer and producer @Chidoxflash commented that Buhari and his cohorts should be advised to thread cautiously. They are staring what they may not be able to finish.

An Igbo banker, Mbadubuchi David, who lives in Warri, Delta State, opined that the drums of war is beginning to get louder.

He said: “Kanu has seriously garnered the loyalty of great number of multitude and to allow him go down just like that without a formidable fight is not possible.”

An Instagram user @Takinyosoye has said, “we have a common enemy and these are the people who have run Nigeria and Nigerians into the ground.

He said Nnamdi Kanu is only fighting against the injustice that has been perpetuated against the voiceless and defenceless in our land.

“His focus is on Igbo, however, we now have Sunday Igboho who speaks on behalf of the Yoruba’s.

Nigeria is disintegrating and any harm that comes to Mr. Kanu is likely to be the final nail in the coffin of Nigeria because it means those with their knees on the neck of the ordinary people would have declared that this would be the status of Non-Northerners for perpetuity.

“The backs of Nigerians are gradually closing in against the walls.

Another user @Mgborukwenduruo stated  “if you kill him, he becomes a martyr. If you imprison him, he becomes a prisoner of conscience. If you let him walk fre, he remains a freedom fighter.

“No matter how it ends, Nnamdi Kanu wins”.

A Facebook user identified as Benedict Odogwu Christain in his opinion said “One thing the morons in Nigeria fail to understand is that Biafra is beyond Nnamdi Kanu and nobody can stop an ideology just by arresting an individual.

“If mosquito bites him, Nigeria will go up in flames, just watch as the drama unfolds as the days roll into weeks.

A Biafran who spoke on condition of anonymity said “Biafra is bigger than MNK, Biafra is an ideology. We all are foot solders. Even if he goes down another will rise. The fire will keep burning until Biafra is restored.

” All Hail Biafra”, he hailed.

It appears that there is so much more to the IPOB leader’s arrest. Could it be that he walked into the lions den knowingly and has a big plan cooking for Nigeria government? With time, we will find out.
