Crisis has reportedly erupted at the Imo state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) ongoing congress in Owerri.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the National Secretary of the PDP, Senator Samdaddy Anyanwu, was accused of hijacking and diverting result sheets for the Imo PDP Ward Congress.
At the time of filing this report, members of the party’s panel from Abuja have been held hostage by irate party youths.
Meanwhile, in Anambra state, members of the panel were absent as the PDP congress failed to hold.
Party chieftains and members who gathered at the secretariat at Udoka Housing Estate Awka were all stranded today.
The five-man PDP ward congress panel had Jibrin Ahmed as chairman.
