Senator Ede Dafinone has congratulated Chief Paulinus Akpeki, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta Central, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a consummate political tactician and a stabilising force in Delta State politics.
In a goodwill message issued on Monday, Senator Dafinone hailed Chief Akpeki, who is also the Ugo of Okpe Kingdom, for his decades of service to democracy and party politics, noting that his political career has been marked by courage, strategy, and an unwavering commitment to public service.
The senator praised Chief Akpeki’s contributions to governance, recalling his tenure as a former Member of the House of Representatives and a former Commissioner in Delta State.
According to him, Akpeki consistently brought depth, experience, and purpose to public office, demonstrating strong capacity in policy formulation, grassroots mobilisation, and inclusive leadership.
“Your contributions to the growth of democracy and party politics in Delta State remain significant and enduring,” Dafinone said. “Your strategic insight continues to shape political discourse and party cohesion across the state.”
Beyond his record in public office, the senator commended Akpeki’s role within the APC, describing him as a rallying point and mentor to both emerging and established political actors.
He noted that Akpeki’s leadership as APC Delta Central Chairman has strengthened the party’s structure and presence in the district through resilience and a deep understanding of the political terrain.
Senator Dafinone also offered prayers for the celebrant, asking God to grant him good health, strength of mind, and many more years of peace and fulfilment.
“As you mark another year today, I pray that Almighty God grants him continued good health and His grace as he ages gracefully,” the statement read. “May your days be filled with peace, fulfilment, and the satisfaction that comes from a life of service and impact.”
