A group, David Edevbie Fans Foundation, on Friday, January 22, 2021, distributed notebooks to Afiesere Primary School in Ughelli North local government area of Delta state. The distribution is the beginning of an exercise that will cover the entire Delta state.
Director General of the foundation, Engr. George Ovie Okugbere, said the foundation is an initiative of David Edevbie Fans worldwide and is aimed at doing good on behalf of Olorogun David Edevbie.
He said the foundation is about offering humanitarian services, reaching out to the needy and also complement the Stronger Delta agenda of the state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
He said the materials distributed were the collective efforts of fans David Edevbie worldwide.
He added that the overwhelming love the people have for Olorogun David Edevbie necessitated the establishment of the foundation.
Engr. Okugbere said that there are numerous projects and programmes that will be unfolded in due course, adding that the distribution of the free books will be a continuous project that will reach every nook and cranny of Delta state.
Headmaster of the school, Mr. Francis Omurihe, was overwhelmed with the gesture and prayed for David Edevbie and the DG of the foundation, Engr. George Ovie Okugbere.
