The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Delta state chapter, has hailed the judgment of the FCT High Court Abuja, presided over by His Lordship, Hon Justice O.C.Agbaza, that discharged and acquitted the president of the association, Comrade Innocent Bola Audu.
The suit which was filed against him by the Federal Republic of Nigeria bordered on alleged human trafficking and exploitation of the vulnerable.
While delivering his judgement, the Judge stated that the evidence leveled against the defendant was not sufficient enough to assume a case of trafficking in persons while the subject matter was on surrogacy which is very lawful.
Congratulating the president on his victory, the Delta State Senior Civil Servants affirmed that the judiciary is truly the hope of the common man.
The congratulatory message was signed by Comrade Iriferi Lucky and Comrade Robinson Omonigho, who are both contestants for the position of chairman of the association at the botched election in Delta state
The duo further urged Comrade Innocent to immediately assume his office and look at the lingering crisis in the association in Delta state.
They called on him to set up a caretaker committee to midwife an election to clear the mess in the association.
They accused the retired secretary-general of the association, Comrade Alade Lawal and retired National Vice President, Comrade Dr Tommy Etim Okon to have caused crisis in the association.
