The Wife of the Governor of Delta State and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Her Excellency Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has continued the distribution of food items under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Food Outreach Scheme—an initiative of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu (CON).
At a distribution event held Wednesday at Government House, Asaba, Deaconess Oborevwori delivered 3,000 bags of semolina and 2,500 cartons of pasta to 400 households across the state. The gesture builds on an earlier phase of the outreach and reinforces the state’s commitment to supporting vulnerable citizens.
“Today, on behalf of Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I am honored to reach more of our people through this initiative,” she said. “The Renewed Hope Initiative continues to bring comfort to Nigerians, especially those at the grassroots.”
She commended Senator Tinubu for her compassionate leadership and urged the public to support the program through prayers and optimism. “It is our earnest prayer that this empowerment reaches every doorstep in Delta State,” she added.
Representing the Wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Catherine Onyeme, Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, lauded the growing partnership between Deaconess Oborevwori and the President’s wife, describing it as a force for meaningful social impact in the state.
Beneficiaries—including the visually impaired, persons with disabilities, orphanages, elderly citizens, and other vulnerable groups—also expressed gratitude for the support.
The Renewed Hope Initiative is a federal social intervention program aimed at uplifting underserved communities through health, education, welfare, and economic empowerment.
