Don’t Be Ignorant, Pastor Dare Adeboye Sleeping, Says Gbagi
Leading Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), governorship aspirant in Delta State, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, has said that Pastor Dare Adeboye, son of General Overseer of the Redeemed Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who died, during the week, only fell asleep.
Gbagi in a statement by his Media Assistant, Ken Orusi, in Asaba, said: “I understand that Pastor Dare went about the business of his heavenly father before he retired to sleep, Wednesday. As a Christian leader, his earthly father and General Overseer, Redeemed Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and wife, Pastor Mrs. Foluke Adeboye are very familiar with such spiritual condition”.
Quoting the scripture, 1 Thess 4: 13-17, he said: “Brethren, those who sincerely love Pastor Dare Adeboye should not be ignorant concerning them that have fallen asleep. “The word of God is clear that if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring Him those who sleep in Jesus.
“My happiness is that Pastor and Pastor (Mrs.) Adeboye trained Pastor Dare Adeboye jnr. in the way of the Lord and he slept in the Lord doing His work, so he will rise with the other dead in Christ first before the living when the Lord Himself will descend with a shout and voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.
“Pastor Dare also demonstrated with his life that the day of death is better than the day birth, and God who numbered his days knows better. Although the scriptures says God gives and takes, the services of Pastor Dare is mostly needed now, but who are we mortals to question God made him to fall asleep.
“On behalf of my family and my political associates, we rejoice with Pastor Adeboye family, RCGG and the entire body of Christ that Dare is sleeping in the Lord.”
“I urge Pastor Adeboye and his dear wife to remember that there is joy in heaven when a man whose way pleased God falls asleep. They should be comforted by the Almighty and similarly comfort others that Dare fought a good fight of faith. Nothing happened to him that God did not prepare him for,” the governorship hopeful said.
