A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Henry Efe Duku on Wednesday said that the Delta state local government nelection slated for March 6, 2021 cannot hold if original result sheets are not produced.
In a post on Facebook, Efe Duku said “You won’t conduct any election on Saturday without 1st producing the ORIGINALS of the RESULT SHEETS.”
Efe Duku is insisting that original result sheets should be produced for all parties contesting the election. He is an APC stalwart and aide to Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege.
There are many parties involved in the election but it is specifically between APC and PDP. However, since Delta state is basically PDP dominated, there are fears that PDP may sweep the entire 25 local government areas.
A member of a particular WhatsApp group has said that the election is a free one for PDP since Delta is a PDP state. He said as it is in APC dominated states so also it should be in PDP dominated states.
25 local government chairmen and 500 councilors are to be elected on the March 6, 2021. The state police command has issued statement warning political thugs, footsoldiers and party leaders to maintain peace during the elections
