A formidable group, Delta North Progressives, comprising leaders of thought, eminent professionals, politicians from the nine local government areas of Delta North has emerged with a mandate to ensure that the senatorial district is united, vocal and visible ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a press statement signed by convener of the group, Professor Leroy Edozien, he said members of the group have held brainstorming sessions and is reaching out to prominent sons and daughters of Anioma to intimate them of its objectives and secure their buy-in.
In the statement, Edozien, a professor of medicine, said it is imperative that Delta North people wake up to the realities on ground and take their rightful place ahead of the next electoral cycle.
He said: “To this end, leaders in the progressive movement should we work in harmony, build cohesion and uphold the basic tenets of democracy.”

In the rapidly evolving political climate ahead of the next electoral cycle, it is imperative for Delta North Senatorial District to gear up, take its rightful place and speak assertively. The self-funded group is resolutely committed to ensuring that, going forward, the district gets a fair deal, politically speaking.
