Following his victory at the just concluded senatorial election, Prince Ned Nwoko, Delta North senator-elect, has officially appreciated his supporters who came out enmasse to vote for him as the senator representing Delta North senatorial district in the National Assembly.

In his appreciation message, Nwoko promised not to betray the people’s trust. He believes that for the people of Delta North to have voted for him overwhelmingly, they love him. Consequently, he will do everything to ensure that what is due to his constituency gets to them. He assured of a robust representation in the National Assembly.

During the ward and local government campaigns, the senator-elect made promises to the people, of which he intends to fulfil as session begins in the National Assembly. He is set to hit the ground running as soon as he resumes in June 2023.

He promised to tackle the issue of flooding, peculiar to the people of Oshimili South and Ndokwa East local government areas, especially Oko and Aboh axis.

On this, he planned on working with the federal government and Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), to dredge River Niger and River Benue, build embankment that would wedge the water from flowing freely into communities, as well as, construct standard roads and drainage systems that will enable water flow into the rivers, through its natural course.

Being a strategic thinker and planner, Ned Nwoko understands that, such project would likely displace people in various communities. Hence, he came up with the idea of building low cost houses, to accommodate those that would be affected. This is one of the beautiful plans of Ned Nwoko for the people of Delta North.

Noting that tourism is a good means of generating revenue for a nation, he assured to push the idea both at the state and national levels. With his connection, influence and reach, Anioma land is set to experience one of the representation at the National Assembly.

Among the bills which he plans promoting as a senator, the most popular is the N50million grant bill to empower youths, which he never failed to explain at every given opportunity to address the youths.

He further assured to work jointly with other bodies of government, to ensure that financial institutions, like banks, grant low interest loans to traders and small business owners to expand their businesses and keep them running.

Above all, the senator-elect promised transparent and responsive governance. Senator-elect, Ned Nwoko, is set to operate an open door system where he would interact on a regular basis with his constituents in Delta North.

Regardless the break in chain, arising from the lost of the party’s presidential candidate, the Delta North senator-elect, has told the people of Anioma nation to expect the best from his representation. He reiterated that, he will not make distinction between political parties in the discharge of his senatorial responsibility to Delta North people.

Having emerged as senator, he will work for better life for all residents in the Anioma land. He will run a detribalised and non-partisan representation at the National Assembly. Issues that bother on Anioma people will be given priority attention at the red chamber by Ned Nwoko.

He, however, called on the people of his constituency to give their full support to the Delta state People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Rt.Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori in the forthcoming governorship election on Saturday March 11, 2023. He assured of better governance with Sheriff Oborevwori as governor of Delta state.
