The Delta North Senator-elect, Prince Ned Nwoko, has taken to his social media account to appreciate those who supported and voted him to represent Delta North senatorial district in the 2023 senatorial election, held on 25th February.
He said, “I want to use this opportunity to thank those who supported me throughout the campaigns and who came out enmasse to vote for me as the senator to represent the good people of Anioma.
“I will not take this trust for granted. It is clearly an opportunity for me to demonstrate exemplary leadership and good representation for Anioma, Delta and Nigeria.
“We will work together and achieve together. I promise to be available and accountable. I love and appreciate you all.”
Nwoko was officially declared winner of the 2023 Delta North senatorial election, on Monday, 27 February, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer and provost of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba, Dr. Josephine Anene-Okeakwa.
Nwoko, who won under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), scored 92,514 votes, to defeat Kennedy Onochie Kanma of Labour Party (LP), who scored 86,121 votes, and Peter Nwaoboshi of All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 36,816 votes.
