The Delta state People’s Democratic Party (PDP), officially flagged-off their local government area campaign, on Wednesday, 21 December, 2022, at Patani, Delta South senatorial district.
Prince Ned Nwoko, the Delta North PDP senatorial candidate, who successfully rounded off his ward-to-ward senatorial campaign, on 9 December, 2022, took his campaign train to the state flag off venue, Patani, to show support for his party.
The choice of the state LGA campaign flag off venue, Patani, over Asaba, the state capital, was justified by the large turnout of party faithfuls and lookers-on.
Speaking at the event, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the PDP vice presidential candidate, said he is certain that PDP will win at National level. He assured that PDP will fix all that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has destroyed. Okowa, however, implored PDP members to continue grassroot mobilization and ensure that PDP wins all five political offices.
The flag off was also well attended by PDP high profilists. They include; Rt.Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori, Delta state PDP governorship candidate, Sir Monday Onyeme, PDP deputy governorship candidate, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, Delta state immediate past governor, Barr. Kingsley Esiso, chairman, Delta state PDP, Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, director of campaigns, Michael Diden, Delta South PDP senatorial candidate, amongst others.
