Delta State Commissioner for Youth Development, Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, has reiterated that value reorientation was necessary in the development of youths in the state.
Comrade Egwunyenga made this assertion when flagging off the Value Reorientation programme, organised by the OG Leadership Life Class for public secondary school students in Udu Local Government Area of the state.
The commissioner enjoined the students to place values on relationships with the right peer groups and should always remember their humble beginnings, adding that they should embrace ethical practices in whatever they did, just as he urged them to prioritise their activities.
He commended Mr. Ogaga Darlington of the OG Leadership, a kids trainer on values and leadership in schools, for organising the programme, saying that the timing of the programme was quite appropriate, just as he pledged to support the consolidation of the programme in the state.
Also speaking, the Director-General of the state Orientation Bureau, Eugene Azuka Uzum Esq, commended the organisers for the worthy initiative and urged them to remain resolute in their pursuit for value reorientation of youths in the state.
Highpoints of the event was the presentation of awards of credence as a Competent Youth Manager to the Commissioner for Youth Development and the Director General of the state Orientation Bureau as the Hero of Value Reorientation Champion in the state.
