Delta2023: Gbagi screened, cleared, set for May guber primaries

Foremost governorship aspirant and biggest investor in Delta, Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi, has been screened and cleared by the South South screening committee for the 2023 governorship race.

The screening which was held in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital was meant to screen and ascertain the qualification of all governorship aspirants for the historic race.

The screening is the last phase in preparation for the party primaries which is billed to hold in May 2022.

Gbagi, a former education minister was the first to declare for the governorship race in 2019 few months after the swearing in of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for second term.

From then, Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi has remained consistent in his quest to govern Delta and change lives of Deltans for good. So far, he has sold himself to Deltans and many have accepted him as the man for the office.

Although there are dissenting voices which is usual in the battle for power, Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi stands shoulder higher above others who have not earned a living beside politics where many have fed themselves fat on the treasury of the state.

So far Gbagi has visited all the party delegates in all the 25 local government areas and important personalities across the state. In all the visits, the reception given to him was great and overwhelming.

He is seen as the man who has the mantle to put Delta on the right footing and challenge the challenges in the state. Gbagi, with his wealth of experience in the private sector and a business mogul is the best man Deltans need at this critical time.

He has been steadfast and consistent in his quest to become governor of the state. As everyone knows, Gbagi is not a hungry man who is looking for food from Delta government house.

He is extremely passionate about the welfare of the urban poor, the downtrodden, the rural poor, the homeless and jobless, the unemployed youths, the disadvantaged woman and our school children.

Gbagi’s dream is not for the funds of Delta. He has made enough for his living and for generations. He feels very uncomfortable seeing people in Delta pining away with all the resources in the state.

He believes that Delta is endowed with great resources from Delta North to South and from the upland to the coastal communities. For him, a lot of resources are in the state that are lying untapped. He is ready to tap them and change the narrative.

His creative ideas are massive and when eventually he emerges, Delta will become an investment destination in Nigeria. With his contact and connection nationally and globally, we are expecting a revolution of development in Delta.

But for this to be, the PDP delegates must do the needful. The delegates must not vote for the highest bidder, nor vote to please a particular godfather from Delta North or Delta central. But they must consider the future of their children while casting their votes. This is very important.
