The applause was thunderous, the welcome was overwhelming at Okpara inland in Ethiope East local government area of Delta state as the party faithful received the SDP governorship candidate, Olorogun Barr Kenneth Gbagi to the community.
Rev Sam Omohwo the CAN chairman, Okpara Inland at the Winners Baptist church welcomed Gbagi and his campaign train into the Okpara Inland to spread his message of liberation for Delta state. In his characteristic manner, Gbagi took the place by storm.
Olorogun Barr Kenneth Gbagi spoke to the people on the power they have as the electorate.
“We believe that you must be sensible, we believe that you don’t need to be deceived anymore. Any money they give you, eat it but vote wisely.
“You have three minutes to decide how the next eight years will be for you, so use it wisely. Vote for the candidate that can make a difference”.
Prof. Jiff Mokobia the Director General of the SDP campaign team, charged the people gathered in the church on the importance of acquiring their PVCs as the election is upon us already.
He said: The church is the house of God and we thank God that we are here. God is not bad but we in the church today have made it look like we like badness, all of us here have graduates who do not have jobs, so why do we clap for the bad people ruling us. The church is goodness so when we see a bad thing we should be able to point it out.
“Deltans, our mumu never reach? If we are tired we should take action. Prayer without works is dead. We have our PVC, so you must use your power. Gbagi has made investments in Delta state with his own money, and he wants to use the government seat to change the narrative”.
PFN chairman Ethiope East, Rev Festus Ighoyiwin, closed the service with an heartfelt prayer session where the clergyman, prayed for Gbagi and also conditioned him to bring a higher institution and industries to Okpara Inland when he becomes governor.
