Deltans open up on real reasons some smear Gbagi, many want him to succeed Okowa

Many people have made remarks about the guber aspiration of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi. He is the first among all aspirants scrambling for the 2023 governorship election. And he has been consistent in the race.

He believes that he has what it takes to govern Delta and add value to the lives of Deltans,  starting from where Governor Ifeanyi Okowa will end his administration, May 29, 2023.

One of the residents,   Blessing Aduku, an Urhobo, told Emerald News that Gbagi is the only man that can make Delta great again.

He said those  saying different things against Gbagi have not met him one on one, adding: “If they come inn contact with him, their orientation about him will change.”

Blessing Aduku says Gbagi is the man for 2023

Aduku said Olorogun Gbagi has desire to move Delta forward, appealing to the People’s Democratic Party PDP,  to do the needful by giving him the ticket to run and become the governor of the state when the time comes.

His words: “We should support him. He will bring good things to Delta state. People are blackmailing him because they are afraid of him. It is not that he will not perform. They know he will perform. Gbagi is the only faithful person among all the aspirants who can continue from where Governor Ifeanyi Okowa will end.”

Gloria Odudu is another Deltan who believes in the dream and aspiration of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi. She said Gbagi detests dishonesty and his integrity cannot be questioned, pointing out: “We need people like him to run the affairs of Delta state after the tenure of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. Olorogun Gbagi is a man with a large heart who has helped a lot of people to secure employment. He is a unique politician who stands by his words.”

Emmanuel Gbesha, who lives in Warri also believes the programmes of Gbagi. “I strongly believe that there is an assignment from God for Gbagi for the people of Delta state. He needs the support of all of us to bring the assignment to a reality. I have never seen or talked with him one on one but I have seen his good works.”

Gbenga James Majomi said he knows that Okowa being a man with the knowledge of all aspirants knows that Gbagi is the man coming after him. He said Gbagi is the right man Okowa can entrust the future of Delta to and go to bed. He agreed that Gbagi will protect all the great things Okowa has done in the state.

He said Olorogun Gbagi is a foundation member of the party and  has done much for the party and  state. He disclosed that Gbagi has built great firms as a private citizen and has the wherewithal to build Delta from where Okowa will stop. Majomi opined that he would  deploy his entrepreneurial skills to boost the economy of the state.

He pleaded with PDP leaders in the state to allow Gbagi have the party ticket for the 2023 governorship. He said for now Gbagi is needed for the good and industrialization of Delta state. He said though some people are agents of darkness, they know that the man is good but they will find different ways to obstruct the wheel of progress.

For him, it is Gbagi that is needed for the good of the state. According to him, “We love Gbagi for governor. We need Gbagi now to stop the nonsense attitude of some of us politicans towards the economy.” He said every Deltan knows that Gbagi has the entrepreneurial ability to transform Delta from where Governor Okowa will stop.

Kenneth Gbemre Edobu, another Urhobo man,  insisted that it is either Gbagi or nobody.  He noted: “In the future interest of the Urhobo nation and the entire Delta state, I strongly believe there is need for Urhobo illustrious sons and daughters to join hands together and support and pray for Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi to succeed in his governorship aspirations.”

“For the simple fact that the Urhobo nation is gifted with such a great man, is something that we should be proud of and take advantage of. That is to have one of our own there in the Delta State Government House, we must unite and give him all the necessary support as one of our own.

“I am seeing the hands of political detractors who are trying to pull Gbagi down by working against him and his political ambition. As such, we should pray for him at these trying times when detractors are trying to pull him down.

“Gbagi Foundation sponsors free eye tests and surgeries for over 300 residents of Oginibo, Iwhrekan and Otu-Jeremi communities in Ughelli south local aovernment area.

“The Urhobo nation should be proud that one of our own has the resources to aspire to contest as  Governor of Delta State. As such, he deserves all our support and prayers to succeed. This is just my opinion,” he stated.
