The Minority Leader of the 9th House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has congratulated the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, on his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the South-South Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative.

In a goodwill message on Wednesday, Rt. Hon. Elumelu described the appointment as “well-deserved, timely, and reflective of Senator Okowa’s exceptional leadership capacity, national relevance, and unwavering commitment to the progress of Nigeria.”

He noted that Senator Okowa’s track record as a consensus builder, strategic thinker, and champion of people-centered governance makes him an asset to the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

Elumelu stressed that Senator Okowa’s new role adds immense value to the Renewed Hope Initiative, particularly in advancing sustainable development and strengthening socio-economic inclusion across the South-South region and the nation at large. He commended the former governor for his outstanding contributions to national growth, political stability, and the strengthening of democratic institutions.

According to Elumelu, the appointment is not only a national recognition of Senator Okowa’s service but also a source of pride for the people of Delta State. “On behalf of the Elumelu family and the good people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate our leader, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, on this elevation to a national assignment that perfectly aligns with his passion for public service and human development,” he stated.

The former Minority Leader supplicated for Senator Okowa, praying God to grant him divine wisdom, strength, and grace to translate the Renewed Hope Agenda into visible and lasting progress for the people of Nigeria, especially the South-South region.

He also took the opportunity to appreciate Senator Okowa for his steadfast support, guidance, and commitment to the uncommon success of the Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori-led administration in Delta State, particularly in driving the administration’s More Agenda with Renewed Hope.

Elumelu expressed confidence that Senator Okowa will excel in his new national assignment and continue to be a source of inspiration to leaders and citizens across the country.
