Immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has congratulated the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori over the Supreme Court Judgment affirming him as the duly elected Governor of the State.

Elumelu in a statement on Friday, January 19, 2024 described the Supreme Court Judgment, the final Court in the land as the ultimate triumph of the collective will of the people of Delta State who voted massively for the Governor in the March 2023 Governorship Election in the State.

Elumelu commended the Supreme Court, stating that it has again demonstrated the fact that it remains a beacon of hope for the people and democracy in Nigeria.

“On behalf of my family, I heartily rejoice and congratulate our beloved and indefatigable Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, our great party, the Peoples Democratic (PDP) and indeed, the good people of Delta State.

“I sincerely appreciate the Lord God Almighty for this auspicious day. This Supreme Court victory is no doubt a victory for all of us, a victory for democracy, and a victory for the people of Delta State,” Elumelu stated.

While appreciating the immediate past Governor of the State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the people of the State for their support and cooperation with the MORE Agenda of the State Governor, Elumelu observed that giant strides already being undertaken by the Oborevwori led administration is further repositioning the State for higher productivity and development.
