The Chief of Staff to the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Dr. Michael Nwoko, has expressed delight in the pragmatic steps taken by his principal, Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, towards facilitating the release of the traditional ruler of Ewu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Ovie Clement Ikolo.
Dr. Nwoko made this known while speaking with our reporter after the release of the monarch.
He said the swift action of the senator who led other senators representing Delta State in the national assembly, to the Chief of Defence staff for the release of the monarch was the reason behind his freedom.
While commending the wisdom of Ned Nwoko in the actualisation of the release of the traditional ruler, he said many persons had intervened in the past but to no avail.
Dr. Nwoko fondly called “The Political Oshobe” said, that Sen. Nwoko has called for a thorough investigation of the situation in Okuama community in order to ensure that there’s lasting peace in the area.
He said the kind gesture of the senator was what prompted the monarch and his wife’s visit to him after his release from asokoro cell.
He added that the highlight of the monarch’s visit to Nwoko’s residence in Maitama, Abuja, was to formally express his appreciation for the instrumental role Nwoko played in his release alongside the other senators and also thank him for visiting him while in the army custody.
